We’ll be back.Ī couple years ago i was searching for a good burger joint something that just hit the spot and satisfied my craving for a fesh god quality burger then a friend recomended 25 burgers. Service comes with a smile, and our complicated order was executed perfectly. (It’s a Jersey thing.) The décor is definitely a click above Five Guys, with a retro ‘ 50s diner-like feel. If you’re from out of town and never heard of pork roll (aka Taylor Ham), then you’re in for one helluva treat. I highly recommend the Trenton Burger, topped with crispy, thin-sliced pork roll, and a generous amount of American cheese. And the old lady gets to rock a veggie burger dressed up just the way she likes it. My daughter loves a well-done grilled hot dog and fries - and they’ve got that, too. The boy loves his chicken nuggets, mozzarella sticks, and milkshakes. There’s something for everyone here, even my vegetarian wife and my super-finicky children. I prefer a bloody medium rare, but as long as the patty isn’t dried out, this style is fine from time to time. As a rule though, the burgers are cooked medium to medium-well here. Cooked smashburger-style, the grill chef gets a great sear and crunch on both sides of the patty, locking in all that juicy deliciousness inside. Whatever the case may be, the burgers here are excellent. I’m pretty sure The Burger Shop was once a 25 Burgers, which I recall not being all that great. And that is generally why I migrate toward places like Five Guys and Shake Shack, who undoubtedly rule their category of fast casual burger joints. If I’m going to use one of my proverbial «burger cards» in a given month, I want that burger to be awesome. And the better burgers tend to be mediocre at best. Unfortunately, there’s a lot of really bad burgers out there. That itch came on real strong the other day. And sometimes you just gotta scratch that itch.
Sometimes the body just craves a greasy, crunchy hamburger patty, topped with oozey, gooey cheese, and one’s choice of accoutrements. And places like The Burger Shop aren’t helping. I'll have an update in the next few weeks. I promised owner Kristi Monticello that I will be stopping in soon to try. Boardwalk style and crispy! Will be back!! They are well portioned and flavorful! Kristi and her family are awesome people and care about their customers! Try the tomato soup and clam chowder! Also, fries were excellent. I had the shroom double and boy did I get stuffed! These are no smashed burgers. Awsome atmosphere, burgers were perfectly cooked, juicy and filling. My family of 3 went there and we had a great experience. Here's what one Jersey Shore local had to say about the burger joint: I have heard nothing but incredible things. I still need to make my way to Point Pleasant Beach to try Bam Bam Burger.
